My BGG Comment

This is my GOTY for 2024 and it has been since about 10 plays in. I doubt anything will come along and topple it from the throne. 1) I love the theme and how it transports it, this works so surprisingly well, I still can't believe it. Corollary: I can tell you a story about my last game and I won't need a single rule to explain to you what happened. 2) it is just so fun to play. The combos are not endless because the cards are not but it feels fresh every time and I am over 60 games in--about half of those solo, the other half with 2 players. I have also played with 4. 3) If there is one criticism: it's too easy even with challenge cards to save the world. But the theme can do with some optimism. 4) stellar production, beautiful art, no plastic. Highly recommended. Rating 10 2026: After 200+ plays. This game broke into my personal favorites instantly back when I got it. These days I mostly play with two players on BGA. I enjoy this at all playercounts. After over 200 games I know all the cards by heart. And still we lose quite a few games. We always play with both player and group challenges and it keeps the game varied enough. Without those we would surely win every game by now. Rating 10

I have played this as solo or with 2 (online) over 100 times since I got it earlier this year. It's a great cooperative game that I would love to play more with 4 players. Works as async on BGA.

I can easily teach this and it was not difficult to learn from the rulebook * Keeper: Yes. Would also totally buy any and all expansions. * Recommended: as a combotastic, cooperative and highly thematic game * Competition: Ares Expedition (tags), Sanctuary (tags)

This went down a little, I may have played this a little too much and this ranking reflects my 2026 taste more than my 2025 taste possibly. Still the combos are delicious and the solo is quick and satisfying Solo Plays 2025: 17 Ranking Last Year: 2

My GOTY 2024. I got this in January and have since made it to almost 90 games. About 60 solos I think. A lot of those were on BGA but the game is almost as fast to play on the table which is quite the achievement considering that there is quite a bit of upkeep. But those phases are designed to be easy to handle and that makes the game such a joy. Because the upkeep just flies by and then I get another hand of cards to combo with until I break the game … uh achieve drawdown to save the world from climate change. Besides thinking that it is good to have games with this theme and have a hopeful tone, it is just such a good game. It would be number one if my number one wasn‘t … the greatest game of all time (in my opinion which I have previously changed). Solo Plays 2024: 53 Ranking last year: - (new entry)
