Wingspan Asia BGG ↗

My BGG Comment

I really like the addition of the 2 player sideboard and the revised goals. Makes the two player a bit more competitive and interactive and rekindles my interest in playing Wingspan. (Could have helped that the friend I played with is a huge fan of the game and quite enthusiastic)

I have never really enjoyed my solos of any Wingspan iteration. The wingspan automa is partially to blame for my general dislike of the whole concept of automa solos (the other one is Gaia project). This one is even worse than basic Wingspan, it has a fiddly set of decision making cards that should help you place the automa's solo tokens. I wear glasses now. For all the franchise's attempts to make more vision friendly cards, these automa cards are just hard to read, to parse and execute. I like the duel mode. I really do. And I like having a variant with a smaller set of cards because my base-game box is just too bloated with 2 expansions (and soon another one). * Player Count: 1 * My current rating: (deducting at least a star for the solo mode) * Total Lifetime Plays: 2 * Rules Retention: Meh. Half and half. The automa is so unintuitive. Actual Wingspan rules I know easily. * Keeper: Yes. But not for the solo. * Recommended: For a cool two player duel version for Wingspan fans. * Competition: Actual Wingspan.
