My BGG Comment

Mostly played solo but also quite fun at 2 players. This is a multi-use card, action chaining, tech-tree engine, discovery game with an awesome solo mode. All these complex pieces work quite well together because everything comes in 3 variants: 3 card colors, 3 branches of tech, 3 terrain types, 3 resources which makes it easy to see how every interlocks. Good candidate for my GOTY of 2023 (because it was really only available in 2023)

• 20 Favorite Multiplayer Games in my collection
  Great as a solo or at two. I have yet to play with higher player counts. Quite curious. A shared map, a small tech tree, some tracks, nice sychronicity over the various elements. Multi-use cards... what's not to like?

  Everything here comes in threes. 3 colors, 3 main actions, 3 tracks, I like it.

  Revive was #1 on my SPIEL watchlist 2022 and my personal GOTY 2023 (it took some time to get my copy after SPIEL). And I am still enjoying my 2 player games with a friend on BGA quite a lot. There is a nice trinity of colors, associated with main actions, associated with cards, associated with resources, associated with tracks... everything comes in 3s in this game and it helps very much teaching this game. There is a lot going on here. It is like Beyond the Sun very well suited to async play as a player turn can get quite intricate with very interesting decisions but it is completely contained even more so than Beyond the Sun. * Player Count: 2 (BGA) * My current rating: * Total Lifetime Plays: 9 (BGA plays are slow for this one) * Rules Retention: Easy. I can probably teach this from memory by now. But the rules complexity is on the higher end and initial learning curve is steep. * Keeper: Yes. * Recommended: Fans of tracks and tech-tree-ish games and multi-use cards. There is a shared map that is adding some competition but not too much. It's still very much "just blocking" and not direct competition. * Competition: Beyond the Sun (async-ability)

  An optimization puzzle with tracks and multi use cards with limited actions. Teaches you tempo.

  How do I even describe this game? Techtrees, tracks, multi-use cards, bonus chaining and exploration ... I can't. Also one of the few solo favorites that I enjoy as a multiplayer as well. Ranking last year: - (new entry)

  I enjoy this quite a lot. You play the same game as multiplayer. You just run up a timer through your actions. I also like how everything comes in threes in this game: 3 colors of cards, 3 main resources, 3 tech trees, 3 main actions. It‘s easy to remember this and 3 is a good number. I recently saw this repeated somehwat in SETI. Solo Plays 2024: 0 Ranking last year: 6 ( 🔻5)
