My BGG Comment

This game is good. It does the thing that both Catan and Machi Koro fail to do: make it so any die roll will be good for you from turn 1 of the game. Every player has a base with 12 spots for cards. You roll a pair of dice and allocate them either separately or as sum to do the action on the related spots. By buying more cards you get to upgrade your base. Old projects get turned around to profit you during turns of other players. From there it is a race to the top (VP). It's quick, easy to play and never boring.

Just roll the dice and see what you get. And you always get something. This is one of those games that will not let you go empty-handed. Why it is cozy? * Despite the dice rolling you always have cards in every one of the slots—unlike Machi Koro—you start with a full set. * There is some satisfying engine building going on. * You always get to do something on your turn * You often get to do something on other players turns, now isn‘t that nice? * It is kind of cute. * Low tension, just roll some dice and drink some tea and laugh (don‘t cackle, not cozy) when your particularly built up spot is rolled by an opponent * Interaction exists but in a rather passive way through the spots you build up to gain something during opponents turns. * It plays fast. The end usually comes suddenly when one player crashes through the tipping point of points…
Games that play well at two
Surprisingly, this plays well at two. We have a house rule that we throw the dice one time between our turns to simulate additional players. This speeds up the game immensely.
