2026. I bought this blind because of the cover (I like tulips and never bought any of the other tulip games like Windmill Valley, Gift of Tulips or Tulpenfieber) and only later noticed that it was a polyominoes games (a very favorite mechanism) by one of my favorite designers (Bruno Cathala). The game is very beautiful with very pretty glittering tiles and very nice chunky wooden pieces for the improvements. The solomode is elegant to handle, one of the more unique ones I have seen with the cards themselves creating an analog to the landscape the player is building. If I was only to rate how well the solomode was done this would easily be a 10/10 game. But... it is too short. 10 turns is probably great for a quick multiplayer à la Kingdomino. With games like this I am looking for just a bit longer experience. Cascadia's solo has 20 turns. Harmonies has a variable length but probably takes ~15 turns. Even Sprawlopolis which has just 19 cards has 15 turns to play. The landscape you build is not very satisfying, the game mainly asks you to try and build improvements and it is not very satisfying to me to build a landscape full of holes which is where the improvements are placed. This may be personal preference and YMMV. Anyhow games like Cascadia, Harmonies or Planet Unknown provide a more satisfying final result on the table. If this were any less pretty I would quickly let it go. As such I am shallow and it will get more chances and possibly improve my opinion through multiplayer. Rating 6/10
