SPIEL 2023. Neat roll and write I bought because it’s good fun and I wanted a Japanese game. Everyone has a slightly different map with 4 city districts that themselves are made from colored city blocks. Each turn a card is revealed that shows some colors, in addition everyone rolls 3 dice of their own. You get to choose one color, and color in adjacent blocks. If you finish a color block you get a bonus. You can also strike with your symbols. Striking is important because while some city blocks let you earn money for distributing the newspapers you only get the money if you strike for it. A roll & write where everyone has some different possibilities and a few neat mechanisms with not too much combo-ing going on. Less “Ganz schön Clever” more “Noch Mal!”
