You want to get rid of your hand of cards faster than everyone else but you can only put down sequences or multiples of the same card and you always need to improve upon what is on the table to gain those points. And you are not allowed to change the order of your cards in hand. It is fascinating to see how fast different people at the table develop strategies... obviously lots of luck on the initial draw but after that...
