Each turn players reach into their bags of dice, roll and choose their own actions: from exploring new lands and building the board, through gathering resources and trading, to developing technologies which offer new abilities, each player chooses their own path to victory. A changing board, a set of different technologies every time you play, and a vast array of available strategies await!

My BGG Comment
1-4, Played and bought @ SPIEL 2018. This game has nothing to do with Catan except that there are hex tiles. This is a discovery & dice-bag-building game with assorted game end conditions & "victory point salad". It is medium complex, we played with extremely casual players and they grasped the rules quickly. The material is good even if I find the design a bit bland. But the game makes up for that with fun gameplay. The initial planning phase each round can be done by all players at the same time and the likelyhood that a planned move cannot be done because another player blocked a move is not too high so after the planning gameplay is quick. The different research cards that will change from game to game will hopefully make each game new. The importance of the different mechanics seem well-balanced, the game plays intuitively. The game is definitely interactive going and an aggresive playstyle is possible but not a must. There is enough strategic depth and different paths to victory that I expect we will play this several times.
